Most Frequently Asked Questions
How can I be sure that treatments are safe?
Firstly, we take into account your overall health and well-being. We treat you in a holistic way, as an individual person with individual needs and concerns. We are aware that many people become nervous at the prospect of dental treatment, so we do everything in our power to help you relax and ensure the experience is pain-free.
We only use treatments, instruments and other products that have been proven to be safe. We do not use amalgams with toxic materials for dental fillings, and we ensure our treatments are as non-invasive as possible.
Our sterilization techniques are immaculate and completely up-to-the-minute, and we use masks and gloves so that any possibility of contamination or germs is minimized as far as is humanly possible.
If you still have concerns about safety, Dr Yasinsky will be happy to talk to you. Call us on (415) 702-1310.
How does the doctor keep up with all the changes in treatment?
To stay up-to-date with the latest technological, educational and psychological developments, Dr Yasinsky attends continuing workshops in a wide range of specialist areas. She also attends professional seminars and conferences on changes in dentistry.
Will you let me know when it's time for a checkup?
Yes. We do this by sending reminder postcards and phone calls. When you first join us, we will usually call you in once every six months. When the doctor is familiar with the long-term condition of your teeth and your health in general, the timescales may be adjusted.
Will I be charged if I have to cancel?
If you need to cancel an appointment, we ask that you do so as soon as possible so that the time can be reallocated. If you do not let us know within 48 hours, we may not be able to reallocate, in which case we reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee.
What if I have an out-of-hours emergency?
If you have an emergency when the office is closed, please call (415) 702-1310 and follow the instructions.
What payment options do you provide?
Chase Credit, Care Credit, which offer 12 month 0% APR plus extended payment plans, no down payment necessary, no application fee, and instant decisions. Visa, MasterCard, personal checks, cash.
Will you accept my insurance plan?
Because we are used to dealing with insurance benefits, we can offer you advice on whether your insurance is appropriate and what it covers, and we can help you fill out any necessary paperwork.
As confusing as they often are, most insurance plans will cover about half the costs of standard dental treatments. Cosmetic treatments, such as veneers, are not usually covered.
The portions of our costs that are not covered by your insurance are referred to as co-payments and deductions. We can help you estimate what these will be. Co-payments and deductions must be paid by you before any treatment can begin.
While we are happy to help you with your insurance claims, you must ensure you provide accurate information. If there are problems, you remain responsible for the entire costs, but we will advise you on how to collect your money from the insurance company.
Your insurance should never dictate the type or timing of any standard dental treatment you may require. If you encounter problems because your needs are complex or long-term, please do not hesitate to contact us on (415) 702-1310.
